On Monday 23rd April 2018 all pupils in Years 7-10 listened to a presentation from Durham & Darlington Fire Brigade, supported by colleagues from Tyne & Wear Fire Brigade, as well as parents who had been directly affected by drowning and cold water shock. It was a challenging and moving presentation about the dangers of jumping into cold water and the dangers of open water in general. All pupils were reminded about how to stay safe. The school community is very grateful to the presenters for sharing their story so that such tragedies might be avoided.
