Last week 55 of our brave Year 10 pupils took to the hills in the Frosterly area to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. It was very pleasing to see their team work and dedication, as they successfully navigated their way to their various destinations. Despite how tired they were, it was astonishing that they would not settle until after midnight and most were up early, at 3:30am to cook breakfast and start their second day’s journey!
The assessor was pleased with how well the pupils conducted themselves and that they were well prepared.
Ella Craddock is the first of our Year 10 pupils to have completed the full Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award and we look forward to the others submitting their logbooks in the coming weeks.
