The vision of the Computing department is to introduce students to an ever growing technological world, which includes the teaching of hardware, programming and design in order to enable them to understand and engage with technology. The staff of the Computing department are passionate about Computing and education and endeavour to develop each student’s abilities to and beyond the point of expectation in an enjoyable and interesting atmosphere. The focus of lessons is to encourage students to take a personal interest in technology and to see how it can impact their lives. This includes educating students in the importance of E-safety. In order to present the knowledge that they have gained, students are taught how to interact with computing technology and manipulate it in order to achieve a desired outcome. Students are taught a range of topics across the key stages to develop their skills within the subject area and across the curriculum.
