IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT SCHOOL TRANSPORT
We have been informed by Durham County Council that there are some changes to some of our school buses starting 7th January 2020. The changes to the school bus routes and times are set out below. Please note that some stops are now served by different buses. Several pupils have been reallocated to the appropriate new bus. Durham County Council will send out new passes and detailed information regarding the new stops and times. Due to changes in operators, the vehicles used will also be changing. Therefore even if a route remains unchanged the vehicle operating that route may be different.
SL02 Edmondsley, Sacriston and Witton Gilbert: The bus will no longer run and instead other larger buses will serve the stops formerly allocated to the SL02.
Stops in Edmondsley, Heugh Edge and Sacriston (north of the cross roads) will now be served by the SL11 (Gem Travel).
Stops in Wilton Gilbert will now be served by SL15 (Bob Smith Coaches), boarding stops will be on the OPPOSITE side of the road.
SL6 Pittington, Belmont: This route will now be served by a new operator Stagecoach. There are NO CHANGES to stops or times.
SL7 Ouston, Urpeth, Nettlesworth, Sacriston: This route has been revised. There are also revised times.
Nettlesworth and Sacriston (Salvation Army) will now be served by SL15 (Bob Smith Coaches), boarding at stops on the OPPOSITE side of the side.
The stops at Sacriston Fenway and Findon Hill will now be served by SL11 (Gem Travel).
SL9 Bournmoor, Great Lumley, Chester-le-Street: New operators JH Coaches. This route has been REVISED. There are also revised times.
The stops on Chester-le-Street, Durham Road will now be served by SL07 (Gem Travel)
SL11 Pelton area, Chester-le-Street: There is a REVISED route and REVISED times. Stops in Pelton and Pelton Fell will be on the OPPOSITE side of the road. Newfield, Edward Terrace will NO LONGER be served. An alternative stop at FRONT STREET.
South Pelaw will now be served by SL07.
Garden Farm and Waldridge Park will noW be served by the SL09. The stop at Bullion Lane will NOT be served from January (pupils will be redirected to the SL09).
SL15 Langley Park: This route has been REVISED and there are REVISED times.
There are no changes to stops and times of SL01, SL03, SL04, SL05, SL08, SL12, SL13, SL14.
